How to Turn Off Camera Sound on iPhone 5s

If you’ve ever taken a picture on your iPhone and had the shutter sound play, then you know how annoying it can be. Fortunately, there are a few ways you can turn off that camera sound and get rid of the annoying click whenever you take a picture on your device.

Go to Settings

The iPhone camera can be a great tool to capture pictures in a variety of situations. But sometimes, you may want to take a picture without the camera shutter sound going off. For example, if you are trying to discreetly snap a photo of a sleeping pet or something else that isn’t too obvious.

To turn off the camera shutter sound, go to Settings. Tap Settings on the Home Screen (or in the App Library) and search for a setting, such as “volume.”

Once you find one of those settings, you can modify it to your liking. You can adjust the volume, turn on Do Not Disturb (DND), set an alarm, and more.

If you use DND, you can also change the phone’s ringer volume and mute notifications sounds. This way, you won’t be bothered by calls or text messages that aren’t on DND.

Another great feature on the iPhone 5s is Live Photos, which capture a few seconds of video and audio before and after you take a photo. The camera shutter won’t make a sound when you enable Live Photos, so you don’t have to worry about the annoying sound effect ruining your shots.

You can disable the shutter sound on an iPhone 5s by going to Settings and tapping Shutter Sound. Once you do, you’ll see a slider next to it that you can activate. This stops the phone from making any other sounds if you take new photos or videos, until you uncheck it.

Alternatively, you can mute the shutter sound using the Ring/Silent switch on the side of your iPhone. To do that, set it so that it shows orange.

If that doesn’t work, then you might have a software glitch on your iPhone. If that’s the case, then you can fix it by restarting your phone.

If you’re still having trouble with the shutter sound, you can try turning on the Do Not Disturb (DND) feature of your iPhone. This will prevent incoming calls and texts from being allowed to interrupt you, but it might not be the most effective solution.

Go to General

When you’re taking pictures on an iPhone, the shutter sound will play. This can be annoying when you’re trying to take a picture of someone, or when you’re trying to discreetly capture an image in a public setting.

However, it’s possible to turn off the camera sound on an iPhone 5s so you can discreetly take pictures without having the shutter sound trigger. The first step is to go to General on your device.

The iPhone’s general settings screen gives you a list of all the available options on your phone. Here, you can see the number of songs and videos you have on your device, the capacity of the available storage, and the version of the iOS operating system that’s running on your phone.

Among these settings, you can also find the option to change your lock screen background. This is useful if you have a different style of background on your device that you’d like to use.

You can also change the size of text on your device. This is especially useful if you have a large screen and want to make text easier to read.

To change your font size, open the Settings app and tap on “Font” (the icon in the top-left of the screen). You can also change the color of text using the same settings.

The latest versions of the iOS operating system offer a function called Live Photos, which enables your iPhone to record moments on its camera before and after you take a photo. Fortunately, this function will disable the camera shutter sound when it’s activated.

It’s important to note, however, that Live Photos will consume extra space on your device and may include audio that you’d rather not share. This means you should only activate this feature if you’re planning on capturing pictures of something that’s important to you.

The best way to turn off the camera shutter sound on your iPhone is to manually lower the volume levels. This can be done by lowering the volume slider in Control Center, which is located on an iPhone model that doesn’t have a Home button, or by pressing the Volume down button until the volume slider is completely down. Alternatively, you can use a third-party application to lower the volume of your iPhone.

Go to Sound

If you want to take a picture on your iPhone but don’t want anyone to know, you can turn off the camera sound. This can be helpful for taking pictures in places like restaurants or hotels.

One way to do this is to use the Ringer and Alerts volume slider in Settings. This is available on both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c.

You can also mute the camera sound by using the Ring/Silent switch on your device, but this feature is disabled in some countries and regions.

Another way to get rid of the camera shutter sound is to download a third-party application that can do this. For example, Microsoft Pix can be used to take photos and videos without the camera click.

In addition to this, you can try jailbreaking your iPhone if you want to completely get rid of the camera sound. If you do this, you’ll have to follow the steps in a jailbreak tool called 4MeKey.

The first step is to install the application on your computer, and then connect your iPhone to the computer via a digital cable. After this, you’ll need to click “Turn Off Camera Sound” on the main interface of the software.

Once you’re done with this, you’ll need to wait about 1-2 minutes for the sound to stop working. Once it stops, you can then use your iPhone again to take pictures without the camera sound.

If you want to mute the camera sound even further, you can go to the Sounds section of your device’s control panel and change the sound setting there. This will make the sound vibrate or completely silent, depending on the setting you choose.

Alternatively, you can use the Ring/Silent switch on your iPhone to put it in silent mode. This will silence all the noises, including the camera shutter sound.

Finally, you can try updating your iOS version to the latest version if your iPhone is experiencing problems with its sound system. This is because Apple fixes these bugs in the latest versions of its software, so it’s a good idea to keep up with the latest updates as soon as they are released.

Go to Mute

When you use the camera on your iPhone, the device creates a shutter click sound that could get annoying. If you don’t want to hear that sound when you take pictures, you can disable it easily with a few simple steps.

The first step is to go to Mute on your device, which you can do by adjusting the volume slider in iOS’ Control Center on iPhone models with a Home button. If you don’t have a Home button, you can open the Control Center by swiping down from the top or bottom of the screen.

If you’re using an iPhone 7 or later, you can also adjust the volume in Settings > Sounds & Haptics. Here, you’ll find a Ringer and Alerts option with a slider that lets you increase or decrease the sound of the alarm and the camera shutter.

Some people prefer to turn off the camera shutter sound because they want to discreetly capture pictures without the sound getting out in public. If you’re one of these people, you’ll be glad to know that it’s a quick and easy task on an iPhone 5s or later.

Another way to disable the camera shutter sound is by turning on silent mode on your iPhone. This setting mutes all phone sounds except for the camera shutter sound when you’re taking photos or taking screenshots.

However, this feature only works if you’re in a country or region that doesn’t have a law forbidding the ability to silence the camera shutter sound. If you’re in a country or region where this rule is in place, you won’t be able to disable the shutter sound on your iPhone 5s.

Alternatively, you can assign a Mute operation to the AssistiveTouch floating button. To do that, you’ll need to enable AssistiveTouch and set it to Single-Tap, Double-Tap, or Long Press.

After that, you can switch between ring and silent profiles using the Back Tap gesture. Apple supports two Back Tap actions: Double-Tap and Triple-Tap, and it’s possible to assign a specific action to each one. For example, you can assign a Mute action to the Double-Tap action to prevent your phone from producing any sounds when you use it.
